Refund Policy

Journal of Arts, Culture and Society (JACS) values transparency and fairness in all financial transactions related to article processing charges (APCs), print orders, and other paid services. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds will be issued.

1. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • Before Review Begins: Authors who withdraw their manuscript before the peer review process starts are eligible for a full refund.

  • After Review Begins: APCs are non-refundable once the manuscript enters peer review, as editorial and review costs are incurred.

  • After Acceptance: If a manuscript is withdrawn or retracted after acceptance, no refund will be issued.

2. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

  • If an author or institution makes a duplicate payment or incorrect transaction, the extra amount will be refunded in full after verification.

3. Print Copy Orders

  • Refunds for print copy orders are available only if the cancellation request is received before printing begins.

  • Once copies are printed and shipped, no refund will be provided.

4. Damaged or Lost Shipments

  • If a print order is damaged or lost during shipping, a replacement will be sent at no extra cost.

  • Refunds are not offered for postal or courier delays outside the journal’s control.

5. Processing Time

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days and credited to the original payment method.
