Publication Ethics

Journal of Arts, Culture and Society (JACS) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethics in scholarly publishing. 

1. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Evaluate manuscripts based solely on academic merit, relevance, and originality, without bias.

  • Ensure confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and associated data.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest in all editorial decisions.

  • Oversee a Triple-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation.

2. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere or is under consideration by another journal.

  • Present accurate data and avoid fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of results.

  • Properly cite and acknowledge all sources and contributions.

  • Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.

  • Ensure that research involving humans or animals complies with ethical and legal requirements, including relevant approvals.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and not use its content for personal gain.

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Report suspected ethical issues (e.g., plagiarism, data manipulation) to the editorial office.

4. Handling Misconduct

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

  • Actions may include rejection, retraction, or notifying the authors’ institution.

5. Retractions and Corrections

  • Articles will be retracted in cases of proven ethical breaches or significant errors.

  • Corrections will be issued for minor errors that do not alter the core findings.

6. Open Access and Copyright

  • JACS operates under an open access model, promoting free and immediate availability of content with proper attribution.

  • Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right of first publication.
